Who We Are
We are the Greater West Virginia Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ led by Bishop Clyde D. Brown. We have seven departments purposed to serve God and bring others to Christ with the power of salvation. We are made up of several ministries that all work together with the same goal in winning souls.
What We Stand For
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and contains one harmonious and sufficiently complete system of doctrine. We believe in the full inspiration of the Word of God. We hold the Word of God to be the only authority in all matters and assert that no doctrine can be true or essential, if it does not find a place in this Word.

OUR APPROACH
Advancing the Kingdom of God
What is the GWV approach to advancing the kingdom of God? We work daily towards achieving goals towards the goals of salvation.
The unity and diversity within the church enriches the church community, equipping people in the church for righteousness to glorify Christ and serve the surrounding community through Christ.
Church leadership is about serving others in accordance with Christ’s interests so that they can see and accomplish God’s purpose for them in the world. A church leader needs qualities that influence and morally support the congregation, the volunteers, and others within the community. Such qualities include moral trustworthiness, social aptitude, empathy, pastoral care, and more.
The Greater West Virginia Jurisdiction is made up of seventeen (17) individual ministries that all operate under the authority of Jesus Christ. All GWV ministries are built and prepared to serve God and community.
